1. What Zimax is and what it is used for

Pharyngitis / tonsillitis when caused by Streptococcus pyogenes in people with intolerance to beta-lactam antibiotics.

Zimax is available in a bottle containing 2 g of azithromycin in the form of a white to off-white prolonged-release powder / granules for oral suspension. When prepared as a slurry with water, it is a white liquid with a fruity aroma that can be felt slightly granulated while drinking.
