What Vibramycin is and what it is used for

Vibramycin belongs to a group of medicines called tetracycline antibiotics. It is used to treat many different types of infections.

What Vibramycin is used for

Your doctor may prescribe Vibramycin to treat various infections, such as:

Breast or lung infections, such as bronchitis, pneumonia;
Infections of the genitourinary tract, for example cystitis, urethritis, epididymorrhitis;
Acne;
Eye infections;
Sexually transmitted diseases, e.g. gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia; Anthrax, including the pulmonary form of infection.
Vibramycin is also used to prevent some infections, such as malaria, cholera, typhoid, passenger diarrhea and leptospirosis.
Your doctor may prescribe Vibramycin to treat another infection not listed above. It may also combine Vibramycin with another medicine to treat your infection. If you have any questions, ask your doctor.

What Vibramycin contains

The active substance is doxycycline. Each dispersible tablet contains 100 mg doxycycline.

The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silica, anhydrous colloidal.

What Vibramycin looks like and contents of the pack

Light yellow to off-white / off-white rounded tablets on one side with “VN” * on the other.

Vibramycin is available in a carton containing 1 blister containing 10 tablets.
