What Neoroso is and what it is used for
Neoroso belongs to a group of medicines called statins.
You have been prescribed Neoroso because:
You have high cholesterol levels. This means that you are at risk for heart attack or stroke. Neoroso is used in adults, adolescents and children aged 6 or over to treat high cholesterol;
You are advised to take statins because changing your diet and increasing physical activity were not enough to adjust your cholesterol levels. You should continue with your cholesterol-lowering diet and exercise while taking Neoroso;
You have other factors that increase your risk of heart attack, stroke, or other related health problems.
A heart attack, stroke and other problems can be caused by a disease called atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is due to the buildup of fatty deposits in your arteries.
Why is it important to continue taking Neoroso?
Neoroso is used to correct blood fat levels called lipids, the most abundant of which is cholesterol. There are various types of cholesterol that are found in the blood – “bad” cholesterol (LDL-C) and “good” cholesterol (HDL-C).
Neoroso can lower “bad” cholesterol and raise “good” cholesterol.
It works by helping to block the formation of “bad” cholesterol by your body. It also improves your body’s ability to remove it from your blood.
Most people do not feel that their cholesterol is elevated because it does not cause any symptoms. However, if left untreated, the accumulated fat can be deposited in the walls of your blood vessels, causing them to narrow. Sometimes these constricted blood vessels can become clogged, which can interrupt blood flow to the heart or brain and lead to a heart attack or stroke. By adjusting your cholesterol levels, you can reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or other related health problems.
You should continue to take Neoroso, even if it has lowered your cholesterol to the required level because it prevents new cholesterol levels from rising and fat buildup. You should stop taking Neoroso if your doctor tells you to or if you become pregnant
