What is Vimpat and what is it used for? Lacosamide (Vimpat) is used to treat some forms of epilepsy (see below) in patients over 16 years of age. Vimpat is used as an adjunct to other antiepileptic medicines. Epilepsy is a condition in which patients experience recurrent seizures (seizures). Vimpat is used to treat such a form of epilepsy that initially affects only one side of the brain, and it is later possible to cover larger portions of both parts of the brain (partial seizure with or without secondary generalization). Vimpat has been prescribed by your doctor to reduce the number of seizures. ————————————————– —————————————— Marketing Authorization Holder UCB Pharma SA, Allee de la Recherche 60, B-1070 Bruxelles, Belgium.
