What Dex-Tobrin is and what it is used for
Dex-Tobrin eye drops is a combination medicine that contains the corticosteroid dexamethasone and the antibiotic tobramycin, active against a large number of microorganisms that infect the eye. It is used in adults and children 2 years of age and older to prevent and treat inflammation and to prevent infection after cataract surgery (eye curtain).
What Dex-Tobrin contains:
The active substances are: tobramycin sulphate equivalent to 3.0 mg tobramycin and 1.0 mg dexamethasone.
The other ingredients are: benzalkonium chloride; disodium edetate; sodium chloride; potassium dihydrogen phosphate; disodium phosphate dodecahydrate; polysorbate 80; hydroxyethyl cellulose; water for injections.

Eye drops, suspension in white to pale yellow.
5 ml sterile white plastic vials fitted with an applicator-dropper and closed with a lid with an opening indicator.
1 vial, together with a patient leaflet, in a carton.
