What Macropene is and what it is used for
Macropen is an antibiotic in the macrolide group. It acts by inhibiting bacterial growth.

It is intended for:

treatment of respiratory tract infections, skin and subcutaneous tissue infections, some genital tract infections,
for the treatment and prevention of diphtheria and whooping cough and for the treatment of certain types of diarrhea. Macropen is often prescribed to patients with penicillin hypersensitivity.
