What Velofent is and what it is used for
Velofent contains the active substance fentanyl, which belongs to a group of strong painkillers called opioids.
Velofent is used to treat stabbing pain in adult patients with a tumor who are already taking other opioid medicines for their persistent pain caused by the cancer.
The stabbing pain is an additional, sudden pain that occurs even when you are taking your usual opioid painkillers.
