What is Ranitidin Unipharm and what it is used for
Ranitidine Unipharm contains ranitidine hydrochloride and sedes into a group of drugs with an adverse effect called histamine H 2 -receptor antagonists. Consequently, acid secretion is required to eliminate pain, discomfort, and ulcerative defects. It is used for:
For adults and children over 12 years:
ovarian and twelve-hour treatment, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (anti-rheumatic) agents, including aspirin;
duodenal ulcer caused by infection with Helicobacter pylori;
postoperative ulcer;
preventing bleeding episodes in patients with peptic ulcers and “stress ulcer” in severely ill (lying);
treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (increased secretion of hydrochloric acid associated with peptic ulcers and pancreatic cell tumors);
treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and symptomatic vomiting of gastro-oesophageal reflux;
treatment of chronic episodic dispersions (digestive disorders characterized by pain and increased formation of heartburn);
to prevent the gastric vessel from falling into the respiratory tract in operations under general anesthesia (Mendelssohn’s syndrome).
For children aged 3 to 11:
short term treatment of peptic ulcer;
treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux, including symptomatic vomiting of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.
