What is a Lyoton 1000® gel and what is it used for

Lyotone 1000® gel is a heparin product in the form of a gel for application to the skin, which is why it is indicated for treatment, alone or in combination with systemic therapy, in inflammatory or traumatic conditions that respond favorably to anti-clotting, anti-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory drugs .

Lyoton 1000® Gel is intended for the treatment of diseases of the superficial veins such as varicose veins and related complications: phlebotrombosis, thrombophlebitis, superficial periflebitis, varicose veins, postoperative varicoflebitis, consequences after safenectomy.

Lyoton 1000® gel is also used for localized edema and pain, subcutaneous hematomas (bruising), traumas and injuries of muscles, tendons and joints.

What Lioton 1000® gel contains

The active substance is heparin sodium. One gram of Lyoton 1000® gel contains 1000 IU of heparin sodium.
The other ingredients are: carbomer 940, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, ethanol, bitter orange oil (contains linalool, d-limonene, geraniol, citral, citronellol and farnesol), lavender oil (contains linalolenol, dranialolenol, dranialolenol coumarin), trolamine and purified water.
What Lioton 1000® gel looks like and contents of the pack

Lyoton 1000® Gel is a colorless, transparent gel with a pleasant aroma that is not greasy and does not stain.
The Lyoton 1000® gel is packaged in soft aluminum tubes. An aluminum membrane is fitted to the opening of the tube and needs to be drilled with the cap before use. The Lyoton 1000® gel can be found in a tube of 30 g, 50 g or 100 g.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
