Lidocaine Actavis 5% ointment contains the local anesthetic lidocaine. It is incorporated into a homogeneous plaster base that provides solubility, penetration of the drug substance through the skin and reaching the deeper nerve fibers. It temporarily removes or reduces the sensitivity of the receptors and blocks the conductance of the peripheral nerves without affecting the central nervous system.
The product has a strong, long-lasting and profound local anesthetic effect.

Lidocaine Actavis 5% ointment is used for topical local anesthesia during surgery and diagnostic procedures.
