What is DUSPATALIN?
DUSPATALIN contains a medicine called mevabein hydrochloride. It belongs to the group of so-called spasmolytics that act on the intestines. The intestines represent a long muscle tube, through which the food passes and is processed. When there is a spasm in the gut, they narrow down and this leads to pain. This medicine helps to relieve pain and spasm.
What DUSPATALIN is used for
DUSPATALIN is used to relieve the symptoms of so-called irritable bowel syndrome. These symptoms may vary, but most often include:
Abdominal pain and cramps;
Feeling of swelling and gas formation;
Diarrhea, constipation or a combination of both;
Small, hard stools.
DuPontin is also used to treat abdominal cramps that are caused by organic diseases.
