What is Aerius

Aerius contains desloratadine, which is an antihistamine.

How Aerius works

Aerius is an anti-allergic medicine that does not cause drowsiness. It helps to control allergic reactions and their symptoms.

When to use Aerius

Aerius relieves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by an allergy, such as hay fever or allergy to house dust) in adults and adolescents 12 years and older. These symptoms include sneezing, itching or secretion of the nose, itching of the palate, itching, redness or tearing of the eyes.

Aerius is also used to relieve the symptoms of urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy). These symptoms include itching and nettle fever.

The relief of these symptoms continues throughout the day and helps you regain your normal daily activity and sleep.
