What AXETIN is and what it is used for

AXETIN is an antibiotic used in adults and children. It works by killing the bacteria that cause the infection. It belongs to a group of medicines called cephalosporins.

AXETIN is used to treat infections of:

the throat;
sinuses;
the middle ear;
the lungs and chest;
urinary tract;
skin and soft tissues.
AXETIN can also be used:

for the treatment of Lyme disease (an infection spread by parasites called ticks).
