What AROMAZINE is and what it is used for
The name of your medicine is AROMAZINE. AROMAZINE belongs to a group of medicines known as aromatase inhibitors. These drugs influence the action of an enzyme called aromatase, which is necessary for the production of female sex hormones – estrogens, especially in post-menopausal women. Lowering estrogen levels in the body is a way to treat hormone-dependent breast cancer.
AROMAZINE is used to treat hormone-dependent early breast cancer in postmenopausal women after 2-3 years of tamoxifen treatment.
AROMASIN is also used to treat hormone-dependent advanced breast cancer in post-menopausal women, when other hormonal treatments have not produced sufficiently good results.
